 Pipeline Construction
TDW Offshore fabricates a range of pipeline construction tools, including Pile Handling, recovery and hang-off clamps.
The SmartLiftT PRT (Pipeline Recovery Tool) enables the end of a pipeline to safely be recovered to the surface or laid on the sea floor. These tools can be both diver-operated and ROV-operated. After recovery, the TDW Offshore's Hang-Off Clamp holds the pipe-line end securely while modifications are performed.
These tools reduce the use of vessel, ROV and diving time.
Applications for TDW Offshore's range of pipeline construction tools include the following:
- Subsea pipelines can be isolated and pressure tested without the installation of a blind flange or welded end cap
- Remote-operated dewatering of a pipeline to facilitate pick-up
- Remote-controlled flooding of subsea pipelines
- Quick release and retrieval of pipelines during or after pipelay
- Pig launching and receiving
