 Pipeline Pressure Isolation
TDW Offshore provides customised tools and services for isolation and plugging of pipelines, ranging from friction pigs to the SmartPlug™ system.
The SmartPlug™ system is a remote-controlled, tetherless and highly piggable high pressure isolation tool. It is designed to isolate a section of pipeline while at operating pressure.
This enables pipeline repair without reducing pipeline pressure or bleeding down the entire pipeline system.
The primary advantage of using the SmartPlug™ system as a method of pressure isolation is the ability to minimise production down time. The SmartPlug™ tool has an onboard SmartTrack™ system for tracking and accurate positioning.
